Greg Curran — President and Chief Executive Officer
A third generation pipeliner, Curran has for the last twenty years been actively involved in the construction and management of complex energy related infrastructure, including pipelines, import terminals and power plants. Before coordinating the purchase of USPL, Curran served as president of AMEC Pipeline, USPL’s prior parent. He also served as Vice President of LNG Development, Project Implementation and was a Country Manager for Enron Corp, where he oversaw the development of and then ran several large scale infrastructure projects. He was also President and CEO of Riva Interests – Texas, a domestic pipeline and production company. Curran is a hands-on and entrepreneurial CEO whose priorities are to create value for his clients and a safe and opportunistic work place for his employees. He studied at Oxford and is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin.
Kelly Osborn — Senior Vice President of Operations
For the past twenty-five years Osborn has established himself as a true leader in the pipeline industry since beginning as a welder’s helper in the early 80′s. Prior to joining USPL, Osborn held project management positions at M.J. Sheridan & Sons, Michael Curran Associates and at Willbros Group, where he built experience in all aspects of pipeline related engineering, project management and construction and developed a reputation for creatively meeting his clients’ needs. Osborn oversees all of those areas at USPL as well as the technical evaluation of contract documents, procuring materials and assisting field operations with labor and technical issues. He is often sought out by both clients and non-clients for his views on construction methods and technical matters. Osborn is a state license qualifier in Texas, Virginia, Arizona and Utah, and is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma.
David Duncan — Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Duncan brings to USPL a deep background in the strategic and financial aspects of business. His twenty-five plus years of experience spans from consulting with Fortune 500 energy companies on an international basis to funding and working with business start-ups in multiple industries. Prior to joining USPL, Duncan was a senior partner at Arthur Andersen where his energy related client experience included Kinder-Morgan, Columbia Gas, Northern Natural, Florida Gas, Transwestern, Northern Border, American Natural Resources, EOG Resources, Enron, Tenneco, Texaco and others. Duncan is a graduate of Texas A&M University and has served as a member of the Strategic Advisory Council for the Dean of the University’s College of Business.
Dave Follett — Vice President Commercial
Beginning his career as a Canadian attorney, Follett has accumulated over twenty-five years of experience dealing with contracts, insurance and risk management in the construction industry. Prior to joining USPL, Follett was the Head of Commercial, Legal & Risk Management for the North and South American operations of AMEC, a large European engineering and construction concern. As AMEC was an original investor in US Pipeline, Follett has been involved with USPL’s activities for substantially all of its twenty-year history and elected to consult with and ultimately join the company when USPL was purchased from AMEC by current ownership. Follett’s breadth of experience adds greatly to the sophisticated approach USPL endeavors to take with its client relationships, risk management practices and project management style. He is a graduate of Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario and is based in Washington, D.C.
Kevin Hutcherson — Vice President, Equipment and Operations
Hutcherson has more than twenty years of experience in the pipeline industry ranging from construction to project management. At USPL, Hutcherson is responsible for the development and implementation of equipment and fleet strategies, for managing all equipment transactions and for maintaining the company-owned fleet of equipment and inventory. Prior to joining USPL Hutcherson served in management positions with Haines Construction Company, Worldwide Machinery and Carey Crutcher Incorporated. He attended Sam Houston State University.
Ryan Palazzo — Vice President Operations
With over 17 years of experience in the pipeline industry and more than 10 of those at an operating company in various operations, engineering, construction and project management roles, Palazzo understands the needs and objectives of his clients. Palazzo’s background includes extensive pipeline, compressor station and meter station experience including the areas of budgeting & estimating, management, organizational planning and acquisitions. Just prior to joining USPL, Palazzo was a principal and owner of a regional EPC company with approximately 250 employees prior to its sale to a larger entity. His depth and variety of perspectives are invaluable components to the USPL management team. Palazzo is a graduate of the Colorado School of Mines and is based in Denver.
Lowell Brien — Vice President Operations
Brien has been with US Pipeline for 12 years and has another 8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering for a major HVAC corporation. Brien’s pipeline experience includes 4 years of working in the field as a project engineer and 8 years working in the corporate office performing estimating, contract negotiations, and project management with a strong involvement in client relations. Brien was formerly a partner in a concrete foundation business, which specialized in constructing foundations for high tonnage stamping/forming presses. He completed an Associate Degree in Applied Science at Houston Community College.
Daniel Holmes — Vice President, Plant Construction Group
Holmes has over 30 years of energy sector construction experience ranging from his start as as a mechanical laborer and welder to managing the station and pipeline rehabilitation groups of increasingly larger and nationwide entities. Before assuming his current position at USPL in 2004, Holmes was Vice-President of the Station Unit at Northern Pipeline and then was Vice President of the Mechanical Group for Murphy Brothers. Holmes’ extensive experience managing grass roots station projects, horse power additions and station modifications of all types and sizes is perhaps unequalled in the industry. He carries a Master Contractors High Pressure Piping and other state licenses and attended Bemidji State University.
